GOING GAGA

We threw a GOING GAGA Party in August ‘cause we just can’t get enough of Lady Gaga! If you’re anybody who’s anybody then you partied with us at this amazing event and maybe even got the chance to meet the pop diva herself. CLICK HERE to see photos from the party and to find out who followed our GOING GAGA Style

Guide.

The first thing you notice about the lady that is Gaga is her platinum blonde hair. Whether she’s donning extra long fake eyelashes, that signature lightning bolt on her eye or some divalicious eyewear, she’s all about making a statement, and that’s exactly what you need to channel the pop star.

If you wanna keep your outfit on the lower end of the outrageous Gaga spectrum, stick to simply pieces that have details to add that pizzazz. Think shining, shimmering, SEQUINS!

Known for her pants-less fashion statement, Gaga just loves to show the ‘Paparazzi’ those gorgeous stems of hers. We know not everyone wants to walk around in their sequined knickers, so why not ‘Just Dance’ the night away in a pair of sexy (but less revealing) hot pants or shorts?

Speaking of mini, Lady Gaga also has a flair for theatrics, and that means dramatic mini dresses with ruffles and MORE! Get all dolled up in a pretty dress with loud accents like the one Lisa S. is wearing here. If you’re worried about looking like a fluffy fool, then make sure you keep it toned down by sticking to muted or neutral colours like black. But if you’re looking for more drama, why not add bubble balloons to your quirky get up like the Lady does herself?

Your outfit is never complete without that right pair of killer heels especially when you’re dressing up as Lady Gaga. When it comes to the perfect get up, your shoes make for the cherry on top, so strut your stuff in your favourite pair of stilettos and get your Gaga on!

Stirring up a storm in pop culture, her larger-than-life fashion statements really have worked wonders for Akon's protégé. She believes she's "defying all the preconceptions we have about pop artists,” and perhaps she’s proving this with her overstated sense of style. When we first noticed Gaga, we thought to ourselves, “Who is that girl with the lightning bolt on her face?” And ever since then we’ve been hooked.

Have we mentioned that she also loves her leather thongs? Bodysuits are all the rage right now and so are leather or lamé pieces. Embellish your bodysuit up for a full Gaga effect by wearing chunky statement accessories such as this awesome gold bib necklace. Another way of going the extra mile is stacking up everything from jewelry to belts that are studded and shiny. Add fishnets to the mix and you’ve got yourself one bondage-worthy outfit!

Just like we said through numbers 2 through 4, Lady Gaga is all about sparkle, sequins and statements. Go full-on in a metallic mini dress such as this one and you’re sure to turn heads wherever you go. Upgrade your look by giving yourself sculpted shoulders and you’ll make for a fashion forward Gaga.

It never hurt to show a little lace, and though Lady Gaga opts for the more revealing lingerie display, you can choose to wear pieces that have similar material. This outfit Lisa S. has on almost looks like an intricate art sculpture! Who woulda thunk that such bold pieces could make for a Gagafied outfit?

Last but not least, when we said killer heels, we meant KILLER HEELS. Show the world what you’re made of with loud and proud stems like these, and you’re sure to win the Channel [V] GOING GAGA contest.

Lady Gaga danced her way up the pop ladder all the way from the underground clubs of the Lower East Side in New York. Perhaps that’s why her scandalous ways are so infectious. With a love for Queen and David Bowie, and fashion icons like Donatella Versace, it’s no wonder she’s "changing the world one sequin at a time." Remember: when you’re GOING GAGA your clothes mean nothing without fearless Gaga attitude.
